How Astralis works
A quiet pipeline: civil birth data becomes planetary positions, then periods and language. Nothing is invented before the sky is calculated.
1. Time and place
You enter a name, date, time, and city. The city resolves to latitude, longitude, and a timezone. That converts the civil clock into a precise moment for the calculation engine.
If the birth time is unknown, noon is used only for date-level planetary positions. Ascendants, house cusps, house overlays, and house-dependent doshas are withheld rather than approximated.
2. The chart
One local engine produces two separate views. Western uses the tropical zodiac with Placidus houses. Vedic uses the sidereal zodiac with Lahiri ayanamsa and whole-sign houses, plus nakshatra, Rashi (D1), Navamsa (D9), and Vimshottari Dasha. The methods are never mixed behind one label.
3. Interpretation
Every astrological calculation runs locally in the application. Only a minimized set of derived findings—not birth time, birthplace, coordinates, or timezone—is sent to the configured AI service for optional wording. The AI cannot change scores, placements, houses, aspects, or dates.
